Corten steel in the garden

Terribly trendy, Corten steel leaves for a while the urban furniture to settle in the garden. Its warm color and its resolutely modern appearance bring a note of daring originality.

What is Corten steel?

Corten steel is an alloy of steel and several mineral elements including chromium, copper, nickel, molybdenum and phosphorus. This combination of elements gives the metal a smooth appearance and a very design character, covering it with an oxidation patina that protects it from the vagaries of the weather. Its brown/orange color matches the plants and brings a warm and contemporary note to the garden.

The various objects made of Corten steel

This material allows the creation of many objects giving a very special touch to the garden.

The privacy screens

Corten steel is very easy to work with, the various creations that result are always very original. The privacy screens, delicately perforated with plant motifs or elegant scrolls, will enhance a fence or protect a specific area from prying eyes. At night, a well arranged set of lights will create a fairy-like decor, made of delicate reflections.

Fountains

Very popular for the creation of fountains with a resolutely modern look, Corten steel is available in elements with a design character. Narrow rectangular basins, vertical plates with flat waterfalls, square, round or rectangular water tables on which a bed of rustling water rests are all chic and elegant possibilities to introduce into your garden.

At the bend of an alley, in a patio or adjacent to the house, these elements will give a very special character to your decor. They will both highlight a very contemporary style but can also, thanks to their specific rust color, match a wilder or more traditional garden.

Braziers

Ideal to spend a moment of conviviality between friends, the braziers directly put on the ground ensure the show. The large models with their flared lines and pure design can be a decorative element in their own right, as some of them are up to 1.5 m in diameter and 40 cm high!

A brazier will be even more spectacular placed in the center of a lawn, or not far from a calm body of water. You will be able to evoke the duality of the elements in a single setting.

Containers and planters

Corten steel allows for all kinds of fantasy! This material structures the garden in an incomparable way, for example with the help of large rectangular planters that are ideal for creating low separating hedges. Exotic" plants will be particularly highlighted, notably bamboo, banana trees and Japanese maples. The latter will be magnified by pots that are wider than they are tall, with well-flared shapes that give them a little air of giant bonsais. Grasses, but also annual plants will find their place in large steel planters that will highlight their beauty.
